OVERWATCH has been out now for a month, and many people have enjoyed countless hours of it (I am already pushing over 40 hours into the game myself, and that is on the low-end compared to some people).  From playing the game, I have seen those at low level (right now I am 72) perform extreme well, I have seen those who have already gotten a star or two perform extremely terrible.  It all comes about what you know, how you play, and who do you play.

From my own personal experience playing OVERWATCH, I have a few tips that I want to share with everyone in order to up their own game.  Hopefully these will shape some better players out of those who take the time to read it, and possibly help garner me with better teammates in the future!

Gaming is something that I absolutely love and adore, it has been with me since I was a 2-year-old little boy who first discovered the Nintendo Entertainment System that my mom brought home for my father.  I spent countless hours playing that Super Mario/Duck Hunt cartridge, trying desperately to beat my high scores or finish the game in record speed.  There was no slowing down as I grew up and continued on through the generations of console gaming; Sega Genesis, Nintendo 64, Playstation, Xbox…it just went on and on.  However, gaming today is a much bigger juggernaut than it was back when I first started out, it is the same but different in so many core aspects.  Today’s gaming media, the entitled and single-minded gaming community, and even the very games we play contribute to what I feel is becoming a toxic environment.

1st Episode Impressions is an article series which focuses on the very first episode of any particular anime; whether-or-not it is able to grasp my attention from the very beginning.  Also, it acts as a comparison point for my final review of that anime or season.

I was told that Erased was a very good anime by several people, but since I had a lack of inspiration to watch anything it unabashedly passed me by.  Now however, I finally got to watch the first season at Bianca’s suggestion…and I was very surprised.

See what I have to say, including the best 10 screenshots taking during the episode!

Blizzard’s first original IP in nearly 17 years has an amazingly strong following right out of the gate. “OVERWATCH” is nothing short of addictive, and many have already enjoyed the game’s take on the objective-based team FPS genre since its release in late May.

Every character within OVERWATCH fits a particular type: Offensive, Defensive, Tank, or Support.  Within each of these classes they are furthered sectioned off by having a particular use for that type.  Each of these characters have a unique “Ultimate”, which is a single ability that provides an incredibly advantageous situation for your team…if used properly.

Here are my top 5 character Ultimates of OVERWATCH!

Titanfall was the whole reason that I got an Xbox One before a Playstation 4.  Being someone who absolutely loved anime, I grew up with awesome action of Gundam Wing, Macross (RoboTech), and Beast King GoLion (Voltron).  It was not a surprise to see an actual video game with these elements in mind would be incredibly fun to play.  Not only that, but pilots were incredibly mobile which means that the camping present in modern games would be less of a thing.

A few years later, we are introduced to a teaser for Titanfall 2 and I could not be more ecstatic!  After waiting a few months until June 1212,  we are finally greeted with some trailers that features in-game footage for both the campaign and multiplayer!  I was quite curious to see what they had for all the fans who loved the original game.

Hit the jump to check out my opinions on both trailers.

Arc System Works worried many a fan when it was said that they would be taking the “Street Fighter” route and going 2.5D with their next iteration of Guilty Gear. Many thought they would fail, especially after the poor reception many had to the initial graphics that Street Fighter IV presented. However, we were shocked and delighted when Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- revealed that it had made the transition to 2.5D while keeping the sole and look of a pure 2D fighter.

Now we have the next entry within the Xrd franchise with Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR- which is furthering along the story of -SIGN- while simultaneously making some system changes and bringing both new and old characters to the fray.

Is this a worthy addition to the series that is worth the $60 price tag? Or is this simply a ploy to get the money from the series fans who are willing to support the franchise? Hit the jump to see the full review!

Fans of the popular Hyperdimension Neptunia series are sure to be happy about another game coming out.  Megatagmension Neptune + Blanc VS Zombies features poster girl Blanc (essentially a “tan” of Nintendo consoles) and Neptune (the main character of the Hyperdimension Neptunia series, inspired by an unreleased sega console) in their effort to save their school while battling zombies in this action-based role-playing game.

Those who are curious as to what this game entails and whether-or-not it is worth your hard earned money, be sure to hit the jump to check out RoKtheReaper.com’s full review!

Waifu Crush Wednesday is modeled after the popular "#WCW" or "Women Crush Wednesday".  This bi-weekly editorial focuses upon female characters in gaming, anime, and manga that I happen to like in one form or another.  I will do my best to explain my affinity for the character featured here.

Tomoko Kuroki is the timid, socially awkward heroine of the slice-of-life anime, “Watamote”.  This high school girl became an instant favorite of mine due to her similarities with me, as I shared quite a few of her thought traits.  That and I just think she is just plain adorable!  Hell, I liked her to the point that one of my best friends, Bianca, bought me the Nendoroid of her (not to mention I also named my Xbox One after her!)!
