This generation of home consoles has seen fighting game releases on ever major system, including Triple A titles on both Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Sony's Playstation 3 alike (Marvel vs Capcom 3, TEKKEN Tag Tournament 2, Street Fighter IV, etc.).  However, as we begin our descent into the next generation of consoles (Mainly Microsoft's Xbox One and Sony's Playstation 4), we are beginning to see a clear image of which to get based on system specific current and upcoming game releases

This article is going to explain my reasoning behind why  I believe gamers who consider themselves hardcore fighting enthusiasts will probably find their best bet with Sony's Playstation 4 over the Nintendo's Wii or Microsoft's Xbox One for next generation consoles.

Well, it has been over half a year since "RoKtheReaper.com", my blog-site for all the things I hold dear to me (Anime, Manga, and Video Games), went down because of a failure in my 5-year-old desktop computer.  During Black Friday I managed to grab this Windows 8 enabled Hewlett Packard computer for a pretty good bargain.  Getting my computer issue out of the way, I am finally back and readily able to do what I love to do the most!

Here in this piece you will hear about some new improvements I want to make to this site, my ambitions and goals, as well as some of the upcoming articles I want to do.  I have a lot of ground to make up for my absence and I plan to hit the ground running!

First off, I want to apologize for my recent hiatus and want to explain why I have been gone.  My computer of about six years has finally decided to kick the bucket and I will be needing a new one.  For the meanwhile, I will not be posting anything and you will be getting no new articles from me, unfortunately, but I will be back even stronger and better than before once I am.

You can expect brand new articles pertaining to anime, manga, gaming, and content that's posted a lot more frequently.

I am hoping to get everything back up and in order by the time Next Gen consoles release in November of this year.  With that being said, please do not consider this site dead.

Phantom Breaker ファントムブレイカー was one of the games that I was personally looking forward to, but the release was cancelled in North America.  However, it would appear that a side-scroller "Beat em' up" game by the name "PHANTOM BREAKER: BATTLE GROUNDS -Cocoa's Nightmare Attack-" was going to debut in its stead as a spin-off of the series, I knew I had to grab this game.

Unfortunately, we will probably never see a North American release of Phantom Breaker in its full fighting game glory; but that does not change the fact that  I am still hype for what PHANTOM BREAKER: BATTLE GROUNDS aims to be and a beat em' up style game with fighting game properties could prove to be amazing.  Go ahead and hit the jump to catch the full review!

Army of Two is a franchise I have always been interested in since Gears of Wars got me into third person shooters.  I liked the thought of two people vs the world and the ability to have each others back.  When the first game came I was fresh with my Xbox and had no one to play with and did not want to start on the second game without playing the first.  However, since it seems that we are given two new characters to play as and a new storyline, I feel this demo was the perfect chance for me to hop in.

Come with me as I explore this demo and get the feel of what is like to play an Army of Two game.  Grabbing a friend for the co-op online and setting it to hard difficulty, I dive gun first into the fray to see what this demo is all about and if this will be a game worth waiting for!

Fakku made a post about a "Good friend of theirs" named "mostflogged" who started a hentai review YouTube series named "jerk-it jenni's Hentai Review".  The plan is to start a weekly entry discussing a seijin manga or doujinshi and giving it a thorough review.  The masses reaction was a positive one and she gained much fame and many followers overnight.

My plan is to tell you what I think of her based upon her current content and exactly how good of a reviewer she actually is based on her presentation, expressing & elaboration, and her knowledge.  My goal is to see if she is the real deal and making a genuine effort or simply using this as a tool for self gratification and instant popularity.  Hit the jump for the full article.

Monty Oum (Creator of Haloid, Master Chief vs Samus Aran and the Dead Fantasy Series) along with ROOSTER TEETH premiered their new collaborative series "RWBY" with the Red Trailer (Read my analysis HERE).  After the trailer I was pretty hype and awaiting the arrival of the White Trailer, and it has been released!

In this article I will be explaining the trailer, dissecting it down while making predictions based on what is shown.  I will also be giving my impressions on whether or not I think the trailer, character, and enemies are good along with how I think RWBY is shaping up from the two released trailers.

Breaking out of the mold the Metal Gear Solid series had gotten accustomed to, it seemed that Hideo Kojima wanted to tell Raiden's story in a different fashion.  Enlisting the help of well known "Hack n' Slash" masterminds, Platinum Games, they embarked on a high action thrill which allows players to cut at will.

Never been a fan of the Metal Gear Sold series I was a bit skeptical, seeing that Revengeance was hack n' slash made me give it another look, Platinum Games involvement allowed me to take a notable interest, and I was ready for the game to be in my hands after the amazing demo.  Now, finally having my hands on the game and completed it, I will give you my opinion and let you know if it is worth grabbing or nothing more than wasted effort on a different approach.

Those crafty bastards at CAPCOM are notorious for their misue of downloadable content, and we already have some for the reboot of their classic franchise DmC: Devil May Cry before the month it released is even over!  Splendid.

In this 320 Microsoft point bundle we are given three brand new costumes: Neo Dante, Dark Dante, and the Classic Dante costume (And my guess is that this was to appease the fans who still are not comfortable with Dante's new look), each to add a little flair to our nephilim hero.

Downloading and trying out all three of the outfits, I am going to tell you how I feel about each one of the costumes and if this is a purchase you should make or pass up.

Ryoko Mitsurugi will do whatever it takes in order to become a "Great woman", and she believes that means  growing stronger and following the path of a samurai.  A fierce fighter and infamous peacekeeper, this kendo practitioner is popular amongst the boys and idolized among the girls.  However, things are going to flip upside down.

With the implementation of the "K-Fight" system at Daimon High School, the Shinsengumi Unit to snuff out localized gangs, and a mysterious agenda surrounding fighting entertainment, our heroine will be thrown head first into the fray and may find herself biting off more than she can chew.  So go ahead and hit the jump to catch the Real Bout High School manga review and find out if it brings the fight!

Never was a huge fan of the Metal Gear Solid series simply because I hated how slow pace it was and the emphasis on stealth.  However, from what I have witnessed in the trailers associated with Metal Gear Solid Rising: Revengeance, it seems to me Raiden prefers a more hands on approach than Snake of Metal Gear Solid does.

The story telling ability of Hideo Kojima combined with the Hack n' Slash genre mastery of Platinum Games make for a fearsome combination, but will it work?

Join me as I give this demo a thorough once over in an attempt to figure out if this collaboration brings about an amazing experience that will be well worth my hard earned money or a gift wrapped package of  full of disappointment.

Hellsing is one of my favorite anime series ever, and Alucard quickly became my favorite anime character at that point and time because of how cool and brutal he is.  Naturally I was very excited upon hearing that a new OVA was being produced that more closely followed the manga.

The release of the 10th and final episode of Hellsing Ultimate brings an end to what started on that fateful day of February 6th, 2006.  An ending that was six years in the making.

Go ahead and hit the jump and find out about what I think about this OVA and if it stacks up to the original anime and if it was really worth the wait.

Females can play just as hard, be just as competitive, and love video games just as much as any guy can right?!  That is easy to understand and accept in retrospect but in reality it is not that simple, not by a LONG shot.

Women are no strangers to sexism and discrimination when it comes to the male-dominated gaming community; often in the form of underestimation, gender-based bias, and sexual degradation...all for no reason other than being a woman.

This article is aiming to cover the reasons why these things occur to try and shed some light on why being a "Female Gamer" is not as gratifying as it may sound and in most cases, harder than it looks.

Devil May Cry is one of CAPCOM's most beloved series, and this "reboot" of the series brought about controversy and hatred you rarely see from fans, only proving how passionate they are about preserving fan favorites.  However, CAPCOM and Ninja Theory are out to prove that change is good, even if you think you may not want it.

Skeptical about this game initially, I became more and more interested the more I saw of it and fell in love once I played the demo (Which I have probably played over 50 times right now).  Finally picking up the game upon release, I await with eagerness to see what they have in store for me.  Triumph or Disappointment?  Catch the full review inside to see if DmC: Devil May Cry is a success or a failure!

Top 5 Tuesdays is a series that focuses itself on my top five anything on a given subject that is directly related to either gaming, anime, or manga.

Everyone, I do not care who you are or where you are from, has a moment in time when watching an anime that goes, "OH...MY...GOD!".  That moment where you have to wonder if you will get your brain back because it has just been blown, THAT moment.

Over the span of time that I have been watching anime I have some scenes that I can never forget, I want to compile those for you all and tell you exactly why these are the cream of my crop!

There are not many anime I would consider watching without intense fighting, blood, or tons of perverted humor.  However, when a good anime is introduced to me I never pass up the chance to watch it and so I had to finish ×××ホリック xxxHOLiC, as nothing is coincidental, it had to be fate I was introduced to this series.

You will be following the story of Kimihiro Watanuki who is dealing with an unwanted special ability to that enables him to see spirits.  One day he is drawn to a mysterious shop where he happens upon a woman, Yuuko, who will do so for him in order to be free of this burden as long as he works to pay his debt and have his wish granted.  What does he experience while in her service?  And why was he led here?  This is the ×××ホリック  xxxHOLiC anime review.

Everyone knows that I prefer Japanese anime and manga over American cartoons and comics for a variety of reasons (Story, plot, and character development just to name a few), however the preference does not prevent me from enjoying the small few that catch my eye.  And a trailer of a new DC Nation Comics Continuum Short, "Amethyst: Princess of Gemworld" did.

Starts off with a female gamer frustrated by her failure to complete a level, only to soon hear a woman call out her name saying she is needed.  Before long the female gamer is dragged into a magical doorway where she touches a crown and transforms into Amethyst, the Princess of Gem World (In magical anime girl fashion) where she is soon accompanied by a Pegasus and welcomed by her subjects.

Looking on RoosterTeeth's YouTube Channel, I was checking to see if the "W" Trailer for Monty Oum's  new animation "RWBY" had released (To no avail) but I did find a movie trailer for something called "noobz".

At first I was hype because it seemed like it was going to be a funny, interesting movie for all of us gamers out there but upon watching the trailer in full I was completely disgusted by what I saw.  This movie seems to completely stereotype gamers as being no-life, anti-social idiots who are all awkward and over-the-top.

I want to tell you why I believe this movie will only help to cement negative stereotypes for the gaming community and only give more "ammo" for non-gamers.

Hands down one of my favorite fighting games of all-time is "CAPCOM vs SNK 2: Millionaire Fighting 2001 カプコン バーサス エス・エヌ・ケイ 2 ミリオネア ファイティング" (Known in the United States as "CAPCOM vs SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001").  This was definitely one of the best crossovers CAPCOM has ever done and I was anxiously awaiting an HD release since everything else seemed to be getting one, but it seems that will not be the case.

CAPCOM vs SNK 2 released again as a "Playstation 2 Classic" with no updated graphics or features.  Later they confirmed it will be coming to the U.S., but not if it would have any features or be on the Xbox 360.  I want to address why I think it should receive an HD release.
